Jhelum DC visits city after recent wet spell  

DC said that the incumbent government as committed to provide facilities to the public at their doorsteps.

JHELUM: The Jhelum Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Saif Anwar Jappa on Sunday visited different areas of the city to check the drainage system after recent wet spells.

Jhelum Assistant Commissioner (AC) Zulfiqar Ahmed accompanied him in the visits. The officials issued directions to the related municipal officials.

The visited areas include Civil Lines Road, Shandar Chowk, GTS Chowk, etc. Jappa directed the municipal officers to conduct a cleanliness drive in Jhelum under the Clean and Green campaign along with improving the drainage system.

He instructed the officers of the municipal corporation to personally monitor cleanliness arrangements.  DC instructed to resolve public complaints regarding drainage problems.

He directed the heads of all municipal departments to utilise all resources in accordance with the directives of the Punjab government for addressing and resolving public complaints. DC said that the incumbent government as committed to provide facilities to the public at their doorsteps.
