Bilateral ties: Businessmen urged to explore Belgian market

The ambassador highlighted that trade, investment, economic and friendly relations between the two countries

KARACHI: There is a need to enhance trade and investment cooperation between Pakistan and Belgium and there are lots of things that can be done in different sectors of the economy which would prove beneficial for both the countries, said Ambassador of Belgium Philippe Bronchain.

During a visit to the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the ambassador called upon the business and industrial community to look into the possibility of exploring trade and investment opportunities in Belgium.

"Although Belgium is not a huge country but market is very open and the country has the second largest port in Europe along with excellent pharmaceutical and other major industries," he said.

The ambassador highlighted that trade, investment, economic and friendly relations between the two countries were vital to him.

"We would like to contribute towards further promoting mutual understanding between our two countries and we also need to promote the positive image of Pakistan."
