KARACHI:
The municipal commissioner for the newly created district East, Muhammad Ali Sheikh, declared a state of emergency ahead of the anticipated monsoons in the city, on Monday. The nullahs have been cleaned and potholes covered. All zonal centres have been reactivated to receive complaints. No staffer will be allowed to go on leave.
