CCTV cameras installed in CDA land department

Initiative part of efforts for ensuring transparency

ISLAMABAD: In order to secure the land revenue record and effective monitoring, Capital Development Authority (CDA) has installed CCTV cameras at its Iqbal Hall.

The initiative is a part of the efforts of the authority for ensuring transparency in the procedures, safeguard record coupled with improvement in service delivery.

Installation of CCTV cameras will help effective monitoring of revenue staff as well as removal of corrupt practices.

Moreover, with the help of CCTV monitoring, any irrelevant entrants would now be identified and taken to task which will ultimately help facilitate genuine applicants in early disposal of their issues pertaining to revenue staff.

Ten CCTV cameras have been installed including one in office of Assistant Director (Technical), one in office of Assistant Director (Land), one in office of staff of Deputy Commissioner, one in office of staff of magistrate, two cameras in record room, three in main Iqbal Hall, one in corridor of DC office and one in office of naib tehsildar.

Staff has been deputed to ensure monitoring round the clock particularly during the office hours, monitoring system, in this regard has been established in the office of Deputy Commissioner while monitoring would be also carried out through mobile phone.

Furthermore, renovation of office of Iqbal Hall revenue office has also been completed and facilities have been provided for facilitating the general public visiting this office.
