Veena Malik calls Marvi Sirmed a 'gainda' in Khalilur Rehman's defense
The former actor has also called the people supporting her 'shameless'
Among the majority that are out to defend the questionable language and remarks used by writer Khalilur Rehman Qamar on national television, former celebrity Veena Malik is also one.
She started off by saying, "Jo log shor macha rahay hain ke Khalil Sahab ne aurat ki tazheek kardi, wo zara ghor se Marvi Sirmed ko dekhiye. Kya inhe aurat or gainday men koi faraq nazar nahi aata? Acha sorry. (The people who are making noise about Khalil sahib having demeaned a woman, kindly look at Marvi Sirmed. Can they not see the difference between a rhino and a woman? Okay, sorry," she said)."
She then added, "Saaray beghairat, behaya, aurat ke haq men nikal aaey (all the shameless people are out to defend a woman)."
Malik addressed the woman verbally abused by Qamar in an even more demeaning manner, considering she did not pinpoint Sirmed's interruption or her stance, rather her appearance.
Even though she went on to apologise after her initial tweet, she continued to lash out at the people speaking in her defense - calling them 'as shameless as Sirmed'.
In response to this, actor Armeena Khan ended up trolling Malik for body-shaming Sirmed.
She said, "Imagine being out of shape yourself and then body shaming someone else. #hypocrisy."
Nevertheless, majority of the celebrities have spoken up against the writer and a petition to boycott him is chock-full of with signatories.
