Queen Elizabeth has a solid reason to be extra sensitive about her grandson Prince Harry's Royal exit.

Not only that, but the sensitivity may arise from her being able to empathise with his situation, reported People.

Royal historian Robert Lacey spilled just how affected the Queen is with Harry severing his connection with the Royal family saying, "She has a particular sensitivity to what Harry has been going through because of her closeness to Margaret and seeing the same dramas and tensions played out two generations ago."

For her, it's almost as if history is repeating itself - her sister Margaret was a much controversial figure for the Royal family.

The Netflix show The Crown chronicles Margaret's struggle with finding her own footing in the influential family, especially with her sister being crowned the Queen.

"The younger-sibling syndrome is an enduring problem. The system has not found a way of giving them the recognition that they need," said Lacey. "Until Elizabeth produced heirs, Margaret was a possible future Queen. It is a family situation of conflict that goes back over generations," he added.

The Queen, though able to empathise with Harry, also isn't ready to let him go this easily. "She won’t dwell on the exit. She is very pragmatic. She has left the door open for Harry especially," explained Royal biographer Ingrid Seward.

There's an apparent 12-month expiration date on the arrangement reached between Harry and the family after which the Queen, Prince Charles, Prince William, and Harry will meet again to discuss his future in the family.
