Freedom for women
Women need to be equally integrated into social systems to that they can fully contribute to our society
KARACHI:
Men should be aware of how they treat women. What do they think? Is she their slave, property or possession? This points towards the psyche that men suffer from under which they think that they are the superior who are put on this earth to be in charge. But the truth is that this is not the case, and it is important for men to realise this as soon as possible. Women are their own beings. They have their own choices, desires and dreams. Men have no right to restrict their wives, mothers or daughters as they do not own them. A relationship is very much different from ownership as it entails the acceptance of both people. A women should be educated, given responsibilities, able to pursue her dreams and desires and to work as they have as much of a right to do it as men. However, the sad case in many different regions across Pakistan is that women are forcefully married off at a young age. They become slaves and labourers of men and all their humanity is stripped away from them. It is about time that women were treated with respect, honour and dignity. They need to be equally integrated into social systems to that they can fully contribute to our society. They are strong, fierce and adamant, and they will eventually achieve what they have set out to do.
