LAHORE:

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ahmad Raza Tahir has directed all divisional superintendents and station house officers to organise patrolling in their areas around Fajr and Maghrib prayers during Ramazan.

The CCPO also directed the officials to provide mosques and imam bargahs with foolproof security and screen the security guards before allowing them on duty. He said that loud speakers would not be allowed except during taraveeh after Isha prayers, for Friday sermons and for calling azan.

He warned the violators of immediate action. He said that cars would not be allowed to be parked within 100 metres of mosques and imam bargahs. He also directed the divisional SPs and SHOs to visit Sunday and Ramazan Bazaars to monitor security arrangements there. He told the officials to ban the entry of cars and motorbikes in to these bazaars.
