In his resignation, he said while addressing the governor, “As advocate general Punjab, I have had the privilege of working with many esteemed personalities of the province. I am indebted to the honourable judges of the Lahore High Court (LHC) and the Supreme Court of Pakistan who have been very gracious and kind to me.”
He maintained that he is also indebted to the legal fraternity, the bar councils and bar associations for lending him support during his time in office. “All these people have helped me have a productive tenure, which has been both professionally and personally enriching for me. I value the many new friendships I made during this time and I am grateful to everyone for the trust placed in me. I will cherish these memories fondly in years to come,” he said.
The law officer also apologised for any shortcomings from his side. “I hope that these will be forgiven,” he said.
