MPA’s house burgled in Islamabad

The Kohsar police and the CIA police were called in but have yet to trace the suspects

ISLAMABAD: Unidentified armed burglars stole cash and gold from the house of a senior ruling party parliamentarian in the federal capital on Tuesday.

Nawabzadah Salahuddin Syed, the father of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA from Mansehra (PK-33) Nawabzada Fareed Salahuddin told The Express Tribune that soon after he returned to his home in Sector F-6/1 of the federal capital after bidding some guests adieu, when four, unidentified armed men barged into their home.

Three of them wore masks while one did not. He further claimed that the men allegedly spoke in an Afghani dialect of Pushto.

One of the armed suspects allegedly put his handgun on Salahuddin’s temple and exhorted that all valuables should be turned over to the burglars.

He added that the suspects spent around 20 minutes in the house and stole around Rs0.6 million in cash and around 20 tolas in gold.

The Kohsar police and the CIA police were called in but have yet to trace the suspects.
