He was impressed by the state-of-the art technology and latest specialised equipment available for the treatment of eye patients and assured the organisation of the government's support.

The LRBT is the largest NGO of Pakistan fighting blindness in the country since 1985 with a mission “No man, woman or child should go blind simply because he/she cannot afford the treatment”.
It runs a network of 77 facilities nationwide comprising of 19 hospitals and 58 eye centres covering 78% of Pakistanis (within a road distance of 3 hours).
It is the "largest" provider of free eye care for the poor in the world and the only safety net for 10% of the total population in Pakistan.
LRBT is devoted to treat poor patients suffering from any eye ailment including Cataract, Glaucoma, Retinal and Corneal diseases.
