LGH hosts workshop on kidney surgery

PGMI principal says doctors would have to continue to enhance their medical education, experience with time

LAHORE: Young doctors must adapt themselves to new research to ensure international standards in the field of medicine, Post-Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) Principal Dr Sardar Mohammad Alfareed Zafar has said.

He expressed these views while addressing as chief guest a live operative workshop on a new method of kidney stone surgery at the Lahore General Hospital (LGH).

He added that doctors would have to continue to enhance their medical education and experience with the passage of time.

The Urology Department head, Pakistan Association of Urological Surgeons Secretary-General Dr Mohammad Nazir, and medical experts from different hospitals, both in the country and abroad, attended the training workshop.

The PGMI principal said that the LGH was providing the best medical treatment and state-of-the-art facilities for treating patients with kidney stones in its Urological Department.
