Pakistan summons Indian diplomat to lodge strong protest over ceasefire violations

FO spokesperson says deliberate targeting of civilian populated areas deplorable and contrary to human dignity

Foreign Office summoned a senior diplomat from the Indian High Commission on Saturday to register Pakistan's strong protest on the ceasefire violations by the Indian occupation forces along the Line of Control in Nezapir and Rakhchikri Sectors.

Foreign Office Spokesperson Aisha Farooqi revealed that a 13-year-old innocent girl Abida Jamal, resident of village Fatehpur, sustained serious injuries due to indiscriminate and unprovoked firing by Indian forces.

Indian forces have been targeting civilian populated areas and continue to do so along the LoC and Working Boundary using artillery fire, heavy-caliber mortars, and automatic weapons

Farooqi added that the deliberate targeting of civilian populated areas is indeed deplorable and contrary to human dignity, international human rights and humanitarian laws.

The FO Spokesperson also said that the ceasefire violations by India are a threat to regional peace and security and may lead to a strategic miscalculation.
