CM lays foundation stone of Samungli flyover

Says infrastructure development will open new avenues of investment

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal on Wednesday laid the foundation stone of Samungli flyover in Quetta and said that infrastructural development in the province would open new avenues for investment.

“Samungli flyover will offer better traveling facilities to the people and will offer investment opportunities,” Kamal said.

He was addressing the groundbreaking ceremony of Samungli flyover in the provincial capital.

Air Vice Marshal Abbas Ghumman, provincial ministers and secretaries were also present on the occasion.

Kamal said the uplift schemes across Balochistan would improve the economic conditions of the province.

“The government has been working on infrastructural development from Gwadar to Kohlu that will usher a new era of progress and prosperity,” he said.

The chief minister reiterated that the development projects and maintaining law and order remained key priorities of the provincial government.

“The uplift work in Balochistan has progressed due to improved security situation,” he maintained.

He lauded the contribution of Pakistan Air Force in protecting the country’s borders and added that people of Balochistan had a keen attachment with Samungli airbase.

Air Commodore Zubair Ahmed gave a briefing on Samungli Flyover and observed that the project would be completed with a cost of Rs260 million by June 2021.
