Clampdown: No work without an NOC

Mirza discussed the construction of a flyover over Lea Market.

KARACHI: The Karachi Electric Supply Company, the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board and the Sui Southern Gas Company will now need a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to work on development projects. Senior Minister for Works and Services Dr Zulfiqar Mirza announced this at a meeting held on Friday. It was decided that a committee would be formed to issue NoCs. Mirza discussed the construction of a flyover over Lea Market. Information minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, development additional chief secretary Ishaque Lashari and Lyari Development Authority managing director Shafique Rehman Paracha were also present at the meeting.
