“To the little girl who fell in love with wrestling & said ‘this will be my life one day’, this is for you. I’m humbled, grateful & ready to work,” she said.
In an interview with EW, WWE head coach Matt Bloom shared some positive remarks around Simone.
“Simone knows she has a lot to learn. She’s hungry to learn and picks the coaches’ minds, and the veteran Superstars’, as well. She’s not going to rest on her laurels. It’s been a short time, but she’s been crushing it,” he said.
This would make Simone a fourth generation professional wrestler. Her father Dwayne, performed as The Rock on a full time basis from 1996 till 2003, after which he attained a part time status to focus more on his acting career. Dwayne's father, the late Rocky Johnson was also a WWE superstar. He is credited as being the first African American to win a championship in the WWE. Then Dwyane's maternal grandfather Peter Malvia was also a decorated professional wrestler.
