Joint Ceremony: Ten displaced couples tie the knot

Ten couples were married in a ceremony organised by Minhaj Welfare Foundation on Friday. Cheques ranging between Rs25,000 and Rs 100,000 were also distributed among 110 flood affected people on the occasion. Keys of new houses built by the foundation in flood-hit areas were given to 15 families. Five of these are two-room accommodations and the rest one-room with a boundary wall. Addressing the ceremony, Minhaj Ul Quran movement Punjab ameer Ahmad Nawaz Anjum said that organisation would continue its welfare programmes for people in the flood-hit areas. He said similar ceremonies would be held in future.
