Three hundred fair price shops will be established in the province from July 27 to ensure supply of essential commodities to the people during Ramazan. These shops will have separate counters for men and women. This was stated by officials of Agriculture and Marketing Departments said on Friday. They said eight cells would be set up to monitor performance of staff at these fair price shops. Besides, they added, eight directorates were being set up in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan, Sahiwal and Dera Ghazi Khan districts respectively. Four fair price shops in Multan would be established in Baagh Laangay Khan; Madni Park, New Multan; Punjab Silk Mills, Mumtazabad; and Shamasabad.
