‘SSP behind target killings’

Express June 15, 2010

KARACHI: Members of banned militant organisations are settling in the city under false names, alleged leaders of the Sunni Tehrik (ST), adding that these militants are behind the target killings.

Scores of activists of the ST staged a rally against the ongoing incidents of target killings.

The rally was led by central leaders of the ST including Sarwat Ijaz Qadri, Shakeel Qadri and Shaid Ghuri. The protestors marched towards the Quaid’s mausoleum and later gathered on M A Jinnah Road, where the rally was addressed by the party leaders.

They alleged that the incidents in New Karachi, Godhra camp and Ancholi are conspiracies of the banned religious outfit, Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP), claiming that the organisation is bent upon destroying the lives of people of the Barelvi sect, who live in Godhara.

Everybody knows that the Ahle Sunnat wal Jamaat is actually the banned outfit SSP but they all turn a blind eye to this fact, the protesters claimed.
