PHA recovers Rs300m from defaulters

It was recovered from owners of different business points that had not submitted advertisement fees

MULTAN: The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) recovered Rs300 million from defaulters of advertisement dues in the past couple of months, Marketing Assistant Director Hafiz Muhammad Usama said on Thursday.

He said the money was recovered from owners of different business points that had not submitted advertisement fees fixed for their marketing panaflex posters or billboards for a long time. He said the newly-appointed Director-General, Afzal Nasir, had assigned tasks to achieve a maximum target of collecting advertisement fee by June 30.

The official said that for some cases, they had to seek police action to implement the order for collecting the advertisement fees.

Earlier, the PHA DG held a meeting with its marketing wing to review the recovery process. He said that the stability of the institution depended on collection of advertisement fees.

He asked the staff to work honestly and diligently while performing their duty. He directed them to employ all resources to improve the capacity of the marketing wing.
