Hailing from India’s state Odisha, a woman with 19 toes and 12 fingers altogether is set to enter Guinness World Records while beating previous record set by Devendra Suthar, 47, who was born with 14 toes and 14 fingers in India.

The 63-year-old Kumari Nayak, who is making rounds on social media, barely leaves her house since she is labeled as a ‘witch’ by her superstitious neighbours and fellow villagers for her added fingers and toes, Daily Mail reported.

“The residents nearby, who are too much into blind faiths, believe that I am a witch and keep away from me. They sometimes come to see my condition - but never help,” Kumari shared, expressing grief over her house arrest since she is treated indifferently by her village.

Kumari suffering from polydactylism — which occurs when too many fingers and toes are formed in the womb during the sixth or seventh week of pregnancy — effects up to one in a thousand babies born worldwide but can often be corrected with surgery.

“I was born with this defect and could not be treated because I belong to a poor family. It has now been 63 years of suffering,” said Kumari.
