Despite the hot and humid weather, thousands of devotees swarmed to Sehwan Sharif to take part in the Urs.
According to Edhi welfare sources, four out of the six who died are women, whereas, reportedly, three of the people who died belonged to Karachi while others came from various districts of Punjab.
According to the incharge of Edhi emergency team at Sehwan, Meeraj Muhammad, said 11 people have been buried by the volunteers of the welfare system.
Earlier, 47 devotees, en route to Sehwan Sharif from Faisalabad were injured as the van they were travelling in overturned on the National Highway near Ghotki.
However, no deaths were reported in the incident.
