Sino-pak friendship: Navy celebrates 60th anniversary

About 500 officers and staff of the Pakistan Navy celebrated the 60th anniversary.

QINGDAO: About 500 officers and staff of the Pakistan Navy celebrated the 60th anniversary of the Pakistan-China friendship at a reception held on Wednesday evening. The reception was arranged at the deck of PNS Shamsheer at the Qingdao naval port. Speaking on the occasion, mission commander Commodore Amjad Niazi said that the Pakistan Navy deeply values the support provided by People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Navy and expressed confidence that the lasting association between the two navies would be taken to new heights in the future. Rear Admiral Sun De Zhong, the deputy commander of the North Sea Fleet, congratulated the ship formation which, he said, has further strengthened ties between the two nations.  The reception was also attended by North Sea Fleet Commander Vice Admiral Tian Zhong and Pakistan Navy Chief of Staff Vice Admiral Asif Sandila.
