As per details, the anti-graft watchdog deposited Rs272 million in the national exchequer in 2016.
In 2017, the recovered amount rose up to Rs1.22 billion. In 2018 also, the recovered amount increased to Rs2.43 billion.
The recovered amount rose up to Rs29.93 billion in 2019 that was nearly 15 times more than that retrieved in 2018.
NAB had also arrested as many as 138 accused persons involved in corruption during 2019.
The regional office of the anti-graft body launched 100 new inquiries this year, while 36 new investigations were also initiated. Moreover, a total of 55 references were filed in the accountability courts during the same period.
