UNWTO offers technical help for tourism in K-P

Zhu Shanzhong lauded K-P govt’s efforts for promotion of tourism and facilities provided to tourists in the province

PESHAWAR: The Tourism Corporation Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (TCK-P) Managing Director Junaid Khan has said that the United Nation World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) has offered technical support and cooperation for boosting sustainable tourism and attracting foreign tourists to the scenic spots of the province.

The offer came at a meeting between the UNWTO Regional Director Jing Xu and TCK-P Additional Secretary Tariq Aslam and TCK-P Managing Director Junaid Khan. Zhu Shanzhong lauded the K-P government’s efforts for promotion of tourism and facilities provided to tourists in the province.

The UNWTO regional director offered technical cooperation and training support to the tourism experts in dealing with many challenges including promotion of sustainable tourism and ecotourism. He said his team members would visit K-P and provide every kind of support for boosting tourism sector.
