On the famous video-sharing social networking application, teenagers who have taken up this challenge can be seen lying on their backs, having their mouths filled with cereal and milk, which are subsequently, used as bowls by another person - who then tries to eat the cereal with a spoon.
The #CerealChallenge has spawned dozens of videos of TikTok users attempting the feat, which collectively have been viewed 10 million times, per the website.

While some people on social media have fretted about the dangers of this latest viral trend, others seem to enjoy it.
Health officials, however, have still not prompted any warnings for the risks this challenge could impose.
With ill-advised viral trends such as the lip glue challenge and the outlet challenge born from the bowels of TikTok, the social media app has managed to become the fastest growing online platform in the past year.
TikTok was launched in September 2016 and has over 500 million active users worldwide.
