Promises, promises: Home minister assures of safety

There is no short-cut but we are taking measures in collaboration with the police and Rangers

KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wassan has said that provincial government has taken concrete steps to contain the law and order situation in Karachi and other parts of the province. “There is no short-cut but we are taking measures in collaboration with the police and Rangers to protect the life and property of the masses in the province,” he said on arrival from Sukkur. Commenting on the situation in Lyari, the minister said that it has been brought under control and an improvement would be seen. Regarding the security to operational units of KESC, he said that the police and rangers have held several meetings and protection will be provided to the operational units.
