Prime Minister Imran Khan warned on Sunday that it will be difficult for Pakistan to remain an inactive observer if the Indian forces continue ceasefire violations along the Line of Control.

Taking to Twitter, the premier made it clear to India and the international community that if New Delhi "continues its military attacks killing civilians across LOC, Pakistan will find it increasingly difficult to remain an inactive observer along the LOC".

Predicting a false flaq operation, the premier urged the United Nations Security Counsil (UNSC) to insist New Delhi allow the UN Military Observers Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) to return to Indian-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJ&K) side of the LoC.

As Indian Occupation forces continue to target & kill civilians across the LOC with increasing intensity & frequency, there is an urgent need for UN SC to insist India allow UNMOGIP return to IOJK-side of LOC. We fear an Indian false flag operation.

Tension between the nuclear-armed neighbors escalated sharply following New Delhi’s move to revoke the autonomy of its portion of Kashmir in August, 2019.

India’s provocative posturing continues unabated along the Line of Control (LoC) in Azad Jammu and Kashmir with its border guards violating a truce at will and targeting civilian population.

Ceasefire violations (CFVs) by Indian troops over the past few months have triggered befitting response from Pakistani soldiers sparking off skirmishes and resulting in casualties on both sides, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in December, 2019.

Then Director-General ISPR Major-General Asif Ghafoor said that Indian troops have repeatedly violated the 2003 ceasefire agreement between the two countries during the last 36 hours.
