60 housing societies declared illegal in Attock

ATTOCK: The municipal committee of Attock has declared as many as 60 housing societies operating in different areas of Attock, Hasanabdal, Hazro and Fateh Jhang as illegal.

MC sources said that the mushroom growth of illegal housing societies has been noticed in Fateh Jhang where more than 50 illegal societies are currently operating, depriving innocent people of their hard-earned money through attractive slogans and tall claims.

However, locals are of the view that the authorities release a list of illegal housing societies but neither take action against the culprits nor help the affected people recover their money.

Lists released by chief municipal officer notes that two illegal housing societies are located in Attock, four in Hasanabdal, one in Hazro and 53 in Fateh Jhang.
