K-pop band BTS just dropped their new song and Twitter is on fire

The song is also a top trend in Pakistan

Entertainment Desk January 17, 2020

As promised, BTS has dropped the first song of their upcoming album, Map of the Soul 7, today. Titled, Black Swan, the music video has already done several rounds on social media.

The song dropped days after the K-Pop band released their MotS 7 trailer titled Interlude: Shadow. The Black Swan breaks away from the traditional BTS videos with respect to their 'Connect BTS' concept. The new song features none of the BTS members. Instead, the South Korean boys have reached out to MN Dance Company to help bring their music video to life, according to Metro UK.

The video starts with dancer Martha Graham's quote, "A dancer dies twice — once when they stop dancing, and this is the more painful death." Following this, the performers comes together to form a swan-like shape before they unfold their mesmerising performance.

Set up in an abandoned plaza, the song starts with the singers urging the listeners to do their things, before they question what 'the thing' is. As the song unfolds, it is evident that the lyrics have drawn inspiration from the quote.

The video builds up to the performer's struggle, his slow death before he breaks up away from the darkness resulting in a beautiful performance.

The new song comes a few days ahead of the Grammys 2020 and BTS' iHeartRadio performance. RM, V, Jungkook, Jimin, Jin, J-Hope and Suga are set to perform at the event live and fans are hoping they would present their first live performance on Black Swan at the event.

Nevertheless, here's what Twitter had to say about the song.
