Domestic dispute claims two lives

Three others also sustained injuries in a firing incident

FAISALABAD: Two brothers were killed while three others sustained injuries in a firing incident on Wednesday. Police said a dispute developed among four brothers and their brother-in-law over a domestic issue in Eden Valley on Chak No 208 Road.

On Wednesday, they opened fire on each other. As a result, two brothers named  Naveed and Rasheed died on the spot while Jamil, Javed and their brother-in-law Ahsan were injured. Police have registered a case. Separately, two suspected robbers were injured in a shootout with police near the Nighebanpura railway level crossing on Tuesday.

Police said two armed motorcyclists were in a spree of robbery when a team of Dolphin force reached the spot. On seeing the police, the robbers opened fire at them. In retaliation, the police fired back and the suspects sustained bullet injuries.  Police arrested the robbers and shifted them to Civil hospital.
