Unidentified assailants: Former UC Nazim shot dead

QUETTA: Former Union Council nazim Saleem Jadoon was shot dead by unidentified persons near his office on Wednesday.  Police officials, while quoting an eyewitness, said the assailants summoned Jadoon, who is also affiliated with the PML-N, from his office on Patel Road and shot him twice in the head. The victim was initially taken to the provincial Sandeman Hospital but was later transferred to the Combined Military Hospital. PML-N activists and lawyers gathered outside the hospital to condemn the incident. A senior police official said that  investigations were underway.
