
The premier expressed regret over “the loss of precious lives” and “large-scale material damage” caused by the bushfires - that has killed at least 27 people, destroyed more than 2,000 homes and burnt 10 million hectares of land.
The premier offered his sympathy and prayers for the Australian people and expressed confidence that they would be able to overcome this testing time.
He further reiterated that Pakistan is ready to assist in every possible way, keeping in view the close friendly ties between the two countries.

PM Imran stated that he has repeatedly warned the international community about the challenge of climate change, adding that no one country can fight the crisis alone.
“The challenge cannot be met by any one country alone. I am sure this crisis will also create the opportunity for greater international collaboration to reinforce the imperative of collective solutions,” he wrote.
