The Wage Board: SC tells respondents to appear regularly

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has directed Attorney-General of Pakistan Maulvi Anwarul Haq and other respondents who were absent to regularly appear before the bench for hearings of the controversial 7th Wage Board Award, which is yet to be implemented despite a Sindh High Court (SHC) verdict. A division bench, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, was hearing three Civil Petitions for Leave to Appeal filed by the All-Pakistan Newspapers Society and others against the SHC’s decision on the validity of the award.
