Honoured: French knighthood for Pakistani woman

Amna Imran Khan was conferred the “Ordre National du Merite” by President Nicolas Sarkozy of France.

ISLAMABAD: A Pakistani woman civil servant has been awarded the prestigious French knighthood for distinguished and extraordinary services for strengthening and promoting cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Pakistan and France. Amna Imran Khan, a district management group officer, was conferred the “Ordre National du Merite” by President Nicolas Sarkozy of France. The Ambassador of France Daniel Jouanneau hosted a notable award ceremony at the French Embassy. Khan termed it as a source of inspiration for Pakistani women and a matter of great honour and pride.
