NAUNDERO: Growers from over five villages protested the shortage of water. The protest was led by Maula Bux Kerio, Abdul Sattar Jat and others who demanded that the authorities take immediate action as their seedlings were burning out. They went to the president’s camp house and demanded that the water level in the Pir Bux Bhutto Drain be raised, as a two-feet reduction made it difficult for the growers to water their seedlings. The protest came to an end after the police assured them that their demand would be addressed soon.
