Shoop Noodles challenges conventional ways of doing things with its #TrustTouMustHai campaign

As a Millennial born in 1990's, I was utterly flabbergasted and fascinated to realise that I've lived through three different decades, two centuries and two millennia. If you’re as old as I am, you probably spent a lot of your childhood playing ‘Kho Kho’ and ‘Kiiiiinnngggsss’ outside, totally unsupervised, with your friends. Billo, Duur by Strings, Manwa Re by Noorie and Jazba-e-Junoon were the hip songs that every cool kid was grooving to.

As much as we have a long list of ‘90’s things’ that we love to boast about, we sure cannot deny the fact that we did not have as much freedom and liberty as the kids have in today's era. Kudos to them for being free-spirited and not being afraid to break free from the conventional norms and practices. Owing to globalisation and digitisation, things are changing rapidly. Certain brands, in order to keep up with the pace, have connected with their audience and raised their voice about specific issues that were once considered ‘taboo.’

Recently, a noodle brand made me realise that teenagers have the ability to carve their own future if they are given the freedom to experiment new and innovative things in life.

Shoop Noodles latest campaign targets a very interesting ‘your way vs. my way’ debate. With their new TVC, they have encouraged parents to see the world through the eyes of their children. Instead of criticising them, Shoop wants parents to trust their children and understand that they are capable of pulling anything off.

The plot of the TVC revolves around how there can be several ways of  approaching a goal. Whether your child wants to cook something or study for an exam, it is okay to let them do it their way. Children don’t want to go against their parents but they do want them to listen to their ideas because after all, #TrustTouMustHai! Sometimes all they require is a little assurance and support from their elders.

Shoop's applaud-able campaign is a much needed dedication to all those go-getters and trend-setters who dare to dream and challenge the norms. Not only this, their jingle is super catchy, and is an instant mood up-lifter.


Well, all this serious talk has definitely made me hungry. I am on my way to make a scrumptious bowl of Shoop Noodles to tantalise my taste buds. So, what you waiting for, grab your bowl, and take your taste buds on a spicy ride with Shoop Noodles.
