'Gully Boy' actor gets threatened with murder over romancing Deepika Padukone

Siddhant Chaturvedi will be starring in a film alongside Deepika Padukone and Ananya Panday

Siddhant Chaturvedi seems to be on a roll as of late. The actor is set to star in three major projects this year, one of which is alongside Deepika Padukone. However it appears that the actor may have gotten a lot more than he had bargained for. According to Indian publication Koimoi, a fan threatened to kill the Gully Boy actor for sharing romantic scenes with Padukone.

Chaturvedi appeared in a video segment where he was reading fan comments on his Instagram. While most fans had nothing but praise for the young actor, one came off as rather bitter. “Bhai mai tera khoon kar dunga ab. Tujhe Deepika ko romance karne ka moka mil gaya. (I will murder you now. You had the oppurtunity to romance Deepika)” a comment read.

Instead of getting worried or angry,  Chaturvedi proceeded to joke about it.“Theek hai, kya karu yaar? Ek baar kar lenge romance, fir khoon kar dena mera tu hi. Uske baad mai aise hi mar jaunga romance karte karte unko (What can I do? Let me romance her, then you can kill me. As it is, I’ll die (in happiness) while I’m romancing her )"

Aside from making inroads in Bollywood, Chaturvedi has become an internet darling in the past few days. This however has less to do with the actor's career progression and more to do with his quick witted nature. Earlier this week during Newcomers Round Table 2019 with Rajeev Masand, Ananya Panday had  listed not appearing on Koffee with Karan as a struggle only to be savagely replied by Chaturvedi.

The difference is jahaan humare sapne poore hote hain, wahi inka struggle shuru hota hai (their struggle begins where our dreams are fulfilled)” Chaturvedi replied to Panday's comment that everyone has their own struggle. As a result Twitter is flooded with funny memes around the incident.
