LAHORE: Former Pakistan captain Younus Khan’s selection for the tour of England is still in jeopardy after it was revealed that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Governing Board (GB) is yet to approve the appeal tribunal’s order of reversing the ban.

“The order, issued by Irfan Qadir, to set aside Younus’ ban is yet to be approved by the GB,” PCB’s legal adviser Tafazzul Rizvi told The Express Tribune. “As every thing needs to be approved by the PCB GB, we’re waiting for the decision before passing it on.”

Chief selector Mohsin Khan made it clear that the chairman’s approval will be needed before making Younus part of the Pakistan squad for the series against England and Australia. While two GB members contacted refused to comment on the issue, board officials revealed that the chairman is demanding an pology from the former captain before considering him for the squad.
