Teenager allegedly assaulted in Pindi

The police have registered a case and started the investigation

RAWALPINDI: A 14-year old boy was allegedly raped in the remits of Sadiqabad police station on Thursday.

Complainant, Mobeen, told the police that his 14-year-old brother went to buy naan from a tandoor in the neighbourhood. On his way back, the victim was stopped by three people. The suspects coaxed the young victim to come with them and took him to Khurram Colony where they raped him.

The police have registered a case and started the investigation.

Meanwhile, Civil Lines police registered a case against an under trial prisoner for attacking a policeman in district katchery on Thursday.

Sub-Inspector Shehzad, of Waris Khan police station, said that he had brought Waqas before a local court. “As we were walking towards the courtroom, Waqas pushed me and tried to snatch my official card,” Sub Inspector Shehzad said. Civil Lines police have registered a case against Waqas for inferring in government work.
