Fahad Mustafa gets called out for "hypocrisy" after slamming TikTok

The actor made the comments after a teenager in Sialkot died while using the app

Social media app TikTok has gained a lot of notoriety over the past year or so. Not only has it been bashed for being a hub for "cringe worthy" content, it has also been deemed as a safety hazard.

Just on Sunday, a 16 year old in Sialkot was reported to have shot himself accidentally while making a TikTok video. In light of the tragic incident, actor Fahad Mustafa took to Twitter and urged parents to not let their kids use the app.

The actor however didn't necessarily got the response he may have been hoping for. Many people on the Twitter were quick to call out Mustafa for his antics in the show Jeeto Pakistan.

"Tumharay show pe tou Quantum physics ki classes hoti hain na ( Like your show offers classes on Quantum mechanics)" one user tweeted.

There were those that criticized Mustafa for making conclusions without fully understanding the platform.

"First of all it's not nothing. People are earning through it and is a big deal. Secondly, what people need to realize is not everything is for everyone. So if it's not for them don't waste time on it. But if they are well off with it, it's productive for them" another user tweeted.

"Sign of Qiyamah-game shows karney walay ab productivity ka lecture denay geay, (Now game show hosts will give lectures on productivity) I know Boss Mainey Bola Kiya hai - Trimmer hehe Instead of running after TV channels for a chance, Tiktok is the best platform for a common person to become a star & earn too-don’t blame the technology" Zaka had tweeted. The Tweet has since been deleted.
