Cultivating Vegetables: Gardening programme to start in Aug

FAISALABAD: The kitchen gardening programme encouraging cultivation of vegetables at home will begin next month under the supervision of Punjab Agriculture Department. A spokesman for the agriculture department told the media on Monday that the sale of seed packets of different vegetables will begin from August 15 and the price of each packet will be Rs50. This programme is being launched to motivate people to cultivate different kinds of vegetables at their homes, which will help them get fresh and cheap vegetables free from fertiliser and pesticide at their doorsteps.
