CCPO holds public hearing

The CCPO checked records of 19 murders, nine counts of robbery, three counts of abduction, and a kidnapping case

LAHORE: Lahore CCPO Lahore Zulfiqar Hamid held a public hearing in his office to listen to the complaints of the citizens.

DIG Operations Babar Saeed, DIG Investigation Inam Waheed, SSP Admin Athar Waheed and Divisional SPs of Investigation were also present on the occasion.

The CCPO checked records of 19 murders, nine counts of robbery, three counts of abduction, and a kidnapping case.

He directed the investigating officers to complete the investigation soon. He also listened to other complaints submitted on the occasion. He said that FIR registration and challan cases should not be delayed at all.

He added that the purpose of the open courts is to make it easier for citizens to access senior police officers. The CCPO promised the citizens to ensure follow up of complaints submitted in open courts and vowed to proceed with it on a regular basis.

Providing justice to citizens at their doorsteps and solving their problems as quickly as possible are among the top priorities of police, said the DIG. For this, the doors of my office are always open to the public, he maintained.
