Like in other parts of the country, the day was marked through several events in all major cities of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) where tribute was paid to Jinnah who helped carve out a separate homeland for Muslims of the subcontinent. Special prayers were offered in mosques for progress, peace and prosperity of Pakistan and eternal peace of Jinnah.
Special events were also held in various schools where speakers highlighted the different aspects of Quaid's life, his personality and his struggle for liberating Muslims. The Pakistan Academy of Letters arranged an event where participants discussed the contribution of the nation’s father and stressed the young generation to work for the prosperity of the country keeping in view the image of a true Muslim as envisioned by Jinnah.
