Finance released Rs10.7m for new machinery and repair work of non-functional machinery in government hospitals

QUETTA: Following the directions of Balochistan Chief Minister, the Finance Department has released additional funds for the government hospitals in an attempt to uplift the health sector in Balochistan.

Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan Aliyani who has been heading the Health Department, took strict notice over poor health facilities in government hospitals last week and issued notices to the former Secretary Health and MS Civil Hospital to explain their positions over the negligence committed.

After chairing a meeting on Monday over the unsatisfactory performance of the Health Department, the Balochistan CM directed Finance Department to release additional funds in order to uplift health department in the province.

Subsequently, the Finance Department released Rs10.7 million for new machinery and repair work of non-functional machinery in government hospitals while Rs10.1 million were issued for dilapidated buildings of the medical centres.
