'Lizzie McGuire' star Hilary Duff secretly gets married in a low-key ceremony

Hilary Duff kicked off the winter by marrying her fiancé Matthew Koma in a low-key, intimate ceremony at her home.
After announcing their engagement in May, the Lizzie McGuire star and her new musician husband officially tied the knot with a reception in their backyard, reported E! News.
“The wedding was at her house. It was small and low-key. Only family and close friends,” the source said. “The ceremony started at sunset and they got married inside the house. When the ceremony was over, guests cheered. The reception was in a white tent in the backyard. Her sister Haylie was very involved in the wedding prep too. Hilary and Haylie are very close.”

Duff confirmed the marriage on Sunday with a gorgeous Instagram post, captioned simply, "This." Meanwhile, Koma shared the same picture and wrote, "For the rest of forever... 12.21.19."
Of course, it's Duff's absolutely breathtaking Jenny Packham bridal gown that really stole the show. She also posted a photo of her and Koma showing off their gold wedding bands on her Instagram stories.

The duo had an on-again, off-again relationship in 2017. Duff confirmed the two were back on, for what she estimated to be their "third time," during an appearance on The Talk in December 2017.
“I think that you have history and a past with someone and love, and just because it doesn’t work out the first time, the second time, as long as there’s not too much damage done then it can always work out again,” she said.

The couple welcomed their first child together, Banks Violet Bair, on October 25."This little bit has fully stolen our hearts," Duff captioned an Instagram post at the time of her cradling the newborn in her arms. "She joined our world at home on Thursday afternoon and is absolute magic."
Duff also has a son, 7-year-old Luca Comrie, from her marriage to former professional hockey player Mike Comrie. The two wed in 2010 and announced their separation in 2014.
