Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram, the only player from his country, was included in the Greatest Test team after fans picked the squad from the ICC’s website.

Fans voted after an initial list was provided by the game’s governing body, to pick the players as part of the activities to commemorate the 2000th Test that will begin at Lord’s between England and India on Thursday. Four Australians, four Indians, two West Indians were also part of the Dream XI.

The final selection is as follows: Virender Sehwag, Sunil Gavaskar, Donald Bradman, Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, Kapil Dev, Adam Gilchrist (wk), Shane Warne, Wasim Akram, Curtly Ambrose, Glenn McGrath

it has been discussed a hundred times before on the previous thread that the presence of Sehwaq and Kapil Dev is not justified by any means..... placement of Gavaskar is also questionable......though sachin is the most obvious contender of the spot he got....only he deserves that among all four indians....

I am not sure why Imran Khan, Murlitharan, Lilly are missing...
