QUETTA: Baloch Action Committee leaders Dr Hayee Baloch, Haroon Baloch and Dr Sabia have accused the current Bolan University of Medical & Health Sciences (BUMHS) vice chancellor of shutting educational doors for students through methods such as fee increases, scholarship cutbacks and college privatisation, and have vowed to stop such moves.

"We demand of the government to take action in this regard or we will protest," they said while addressing a press conference and protest participants in front of the Quetta Press Club.

"From the time the college received university status, students have faced problems on a daily basis. Although we have protested on several occasions at different forums, unprecedented increases in hostel and academic fees and deductions in student scholarships have been implemented at the BUMHS which have become major concerns.”
