NICL scam: SC adjourns hearing till July 25

SC orders attorney general to submit details of absconders and foreign accounts held by the accused.

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC), on the request of Attorney General Molvi Anwarul Haq, has adjourned the hearing of the National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) scam case till July 25.

During today’s (Monday) hearing, the court demanded the complete record of the NICL case. It also ordered the attorney general to submit details of absconders in the case and foreign accounts held by the accused.

The apex court also asked the attorney general to submit the stance of secretary establishment, secretary interior and principal secretary to the prime minister on the case.

The court had earlier taken possession of the entire record pertaining to the suspension of lead investigator in the National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) scam Zafar Ahmad Qureshi.
