Truck-van collision claims nine lives

MULTAN: At least nine people were killed and more than 15 injured as a van collided with a speeding truck and overturned in Kohiwala, Express 24/7 reported Monday.

The accident took place in Kohiwala, some 15 kilometres away from Kabirwala.

The van overturned and crashed into a tree after the collision.

The nine people who died all belonged to the same family and were leaving for Umrah from Multan.

The injured were moved to a nearby hospital for treatment.
